Mushrooms Cafe, is conveniently located in the White Barns Carriage House right on Rt. 1 / Baltimore Pike next to the Brandywine River Antiques Market. They are on the way from Longwood Gardens to the Brandywine River Museum, Brandywine Battlefield Park, Chadds Ford Historical Society, Chaddsford Winery, the John Chads House or Barns-Brinton House. They're open for breakfast and lunch Tues-Fri 7AM-3PM and Sat-Sun 8AM-4PM. Stop in for coffee or Espresso, an egg sandwich or a slice of mushroom quiche. Also on the menu: salads, sandwiches, grilled Portabella with roasted red peppers and mozzarella on a Kaiser roll and other savory treats. Mushrooms is a friendly, locally owned and operated alternative to the chain coffee shops or fast food restaurant when you just want a small bite or a beverage on your way from here to there. They also have daily specials, gifts, antiques, and fresh local mushrooms grown in Kennett Square, the "Mushroom Capital of the World".
