Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in the Glen Eagle Shopping Center on Wilmington Pike (Rt. 202) in Glen Mills offers up a seasonal menu sourced locally from PA farmers from towns including West Grove, Phoenixville, and Mount Joy. Most items on the menu which includes flatbreads, salads, appetizers, entree salads, sandwiches, seafood, meat and poultry and vegetarian dishes are under 500 calories. Say hello to guilt-free, sustainable dining.

We started with the Caprese Flatbread, vine-ripened tomatoes, basil and shredded Mozzarella baked in a wood-fired oven. Loved it. Always favoring seafood, we tried the Jumbo Scallops, seared, naturally carmelized, whole wheat orzo, spinach, tri-colored peppers and grilled pineapple and the Atlantic Salmon which was cedar roasted with asparagus, roasted carrots and fingerling potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly. Vegetables were crisp, not overdone, and the scallops and salmon were not overcooked. Flavors were bright.

We finished our meal by sampling the Apple Crisp and Chocolate Mousse desserts with our coffee. Both were served in what we decided to call champagne shot glasses with small dessert spoons. Enough to taste, but small enough to keep the calorie count down. Atmosphere is upscale, trendy, post modernish. Service was excellent. Ask for Giana. She was very helpful. 7/24/2010
